Endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) treats varicose veins caused by venous insufficiency. Under ultrasound guidance, a laser fiber thermally closes the diseased vein, which is then reabsorbed by the body, redirecting blood flow to healthy veins. This minimally invasive treatment requires prior medical evaluation and a venous ultrasound to confirm its indication.
